The New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, better known as “The Nickel Plate Road” was famous for its handsome, dependable steam locomotives. One such engine, Nickel Plate 2-8-2 #587 is still in service today, now owned by the City of Indianapolis and part of the Indiana Transportation Museum. In this exciting video, we see 587 on one of her premier assignments, hauling the annual “Fairtrain” to the Indiana State Fair. You’ll see her all along the way as she hustles her trainloads of happy passengers to the State Fair. There’s more! 587 is also a roving goodwill ambassador, and you’ll see her as she travels to various places around Indiana. This is no amusement park engine puttering around a circle of track…she really gets around! If you like steam locomotives, you’ll really enjoy watching this fine lady in action! Features: *587 hauling the Indiana State Fair Train to Indianapolis, *Trips to various points in Indiana and Ohio, *See the locomotive cross high bridges and go through a tunnel, *Enjoy seeing 587 out on the mainline, *Ride in her cab, *Ride on-board the train.
